MV Solar Pty Ltd commenced operations as a natural extension of thirty years interest by the founder of the company, Michael Valantine, in Solar Electricity generation, coupled with lifelong work in electronics work for the Australian Navy, then mainteneance and repair experience in the Biomedics field, followed by some many years as a senior educator in the Solar electrical design and installation accreditation field. In his role with NSW TAFE Michael developed the curriculum for the Off grid Solar design and installation accreditation course. Eventually solar work being carried out as a ''second job'' overtook the educator role so that MV Solar was born in 2010
